Whats the Difference Between Socks and Stockings on a Horse
Amazon/Childrensplace.com
I have a confession to make about my family: My mother is wholly and utterly obsessed with cutesy holiday socks. Growing up my sister and I received socks for every gift-giving occasion in the Hallmark universe—even ones we didn't observe. As a result, I now have specific footwear for Halloween, Hanukkah, Easter, Valentine's Day, and even the Fourth Of July. But of all the socks in my embarrassingly large sock drawer, nothing compares to my collection of Christmas socks. I have so many—and I actually love wearing them year round.
(Check out the 2018 Prevention Calendar for 365 days of slimming secrets, health tips, and motivation!)
Not only are snowmen, ginger people, and reindeer really stinkin' cute, but every time I pull on my Christmas socks I'm reminded of my sweet mother, who desperately wanted to ensure my feet would always be nice and toasty. This is precisely why I think everyone should be lucky enough to get a cozy pair of Christmas socks this season. And yes, I mean everyone. Holiday socks make perfect stocking stuffers for family members, and a particularly quirky pair is perfect for a secret Santa or white elephant exchange. They're also the ideal thing to pair with something a bit more pricey for someone special on your list. In other words, it's time to stock up!
